Beautiful shade of blue

This penultimate Blue is second only to Parker penman Sapphire and P.W. Akkerman Shocking blue which says a lot considering that this is a small company with no huge factory to make this blue and as a lefty I was worried that like the sapphire it would be a smeared mess but, that was not the case I have used it in a a few nibs from Medium through ultra extra fine and it behaves wonderfully and even in the flexible nib of my nib creeper it is a very wet writer but behaved

Good first impression

This is my first Birmingham ink and it's a pleasant surprise - I use a lot of blue and blue/black inks and this is a new favorite, with enough vibrancy that it shows up nicely on the page without being too bright or too light in color. One unusual thing is that in two different pens (out of three used so far), it's unwilling to lay down smoothly on my Apica notebook paper that I use for journaling - normally well-behaved Cross and Pilot nibs. It writes well on everything else though so I'm just using it elsewhere.

Not the Bright Blue you're looking for.

Very wet, no bleeding or feathering but smears easil. Slow drying so not for impatient lefties without blotting paper or those that were expecting the more vibrant blue depicted online. I really expected better. TWSBI 580AL medium nib.
