Finished and ready to ship! The lightweight Alumina Model-C features a matte-finished aluminum alloy with unique hand-shaped pocket clip.
Alumina parts begin as a round bar of solid aluminum alloy before being machined into one of four separate pieces: barrel, grip section, cap body, & cap finial. After Dad uses a lathe to shape each component, parts are delicately refined to a matte finish. Next, Nick individually bends each clip by hand, followed by tumbling to soften edges and produce a consistent finish. Lastly, each pen is fully assembled per customer request.
The Alumina includes a removable ink converter reservoir and nib installed. Each piece is reserved with a completed checkout.
Aluminum is a very soft metal that will develop wear over time, varying based on use and storage. Prolonged contact with ink may cause corrosion. Eyedropper conversions are strongly discouraged, and it's best to clean any ink in direct contact with a metal surface.
