Our first pigmented fountain pen ink additive, Original Recipe Twinkle Sprinkle is designed to add an enchanting luster to your Birmingham Pen Company inks. Infuse writing strokes with a twinkling sparkle that brings words to life. Blue hued in the bottle, the Original Recipe pigment visually adopts the color of it's surrounding dyes to a degree in formula, virtually removing all traces of it's original blue and neutralizing to a vivid silver luster.
*This product was previously Twinkle Sprinkle. The updated name allows us to distinguish among our new Twinkle pigments.
The 100mL minimum volume of shimmering brilliance comes in a glass bottle with dropper included for easy application. In general, we recommend this product for in-brand ink use only within our Keystone Formula and Twinkle Formula fountain pen ink lines. A single dropper pull is enough to sparkle approximately one 10mL sample vial of ink.

Magic In A Bottle
Twinkle Sprinkle is built with a versatile, well-behaved twinkling pigment that seamlessly enhances the dye colorants in a traditional Birmingham Pen Co. fountain pen ink.
Anticipate headspace at the top of each bottle from pigment bottling and for simpler user agitation before dosing.
Mix It Up
Before each dropper pull, gently agitate the bottle with the cap secured to disperse the Twinkle pigment throughout the vessel evenly. As a concentrated formula, a single pull is potent enough to transform approximately 10mL of ink, offering significant visual impact without meaningfully altering the ink's underlying color properties.
Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your fountain pens, adhere to the same maintenance and cleaning protocols as you would for other shimmering inks when using Twinkle Sprinkle. For best results, we recommend using this additive in modern pens that allow complete disassembly for thorough cleaning.

Formula Guide
We've compartmentalized our fountain pen ink recipes into four principal categories characterized by differentiating elements of the colorant component in the formula. A colorant is a dye or pigment that exhibits color. An ink vehicle is a series of chemicals used to transport colorant from storage reservoir to substrate (paper in our case).
Keystone Formula inks are engineered using water-soluble dyes to produce a broad spectrum of colors with a variety of unique and desirable writing properties. Fitting the bill for a traditional fountain pen ink, this series by far the most popular.
Delicate Formula inks are constructed with dyes selected for both performance and washability. Colors in this series will clean easily from most fabrics and surfaces with soap and water.
Everlasting Formula inks are compounded with pigmented colorants to produce highly water-resistant and archival properties on most papers.
Twinkle Formula inks are formulated using hybrid dye and pigment combinations to create a unique twinkling luster.
